Lyons & Pakchar released their Single + Bonus track from their debut album “#LOVE” today via multiple online music channels. The single “Let Go” is performed by Christine Dwyer and was recorded live on August 19th, 2013 at The Cutting Room in NYC.
I had the privilege of being in the audience for the recording of this album. Not only was the house packed, but the performers fed off of the energy in the room. While it was great to see and hear this performed live, hearing the recorded and mastered version brings it to another level.
“Let Go” has a great mix of energy and emotion. This song dives into relationships and the feeling of heartbreak. Musically, this song takes you on a wondrous roller coaster of emotions and the conflict within.
One of the lines, “I wish my brain could explain what is happening to my heart, I love you, I feel insane this is tearing me apart” really sets the tone for what Lyons and Pakchar are trying to convey.
Christine Dwyer delivers with raw emotion and melt your face off power. She portrays a woman torn between hanging on and letting go, and finally concedes to the fact that she has to do what she has to do.
